Kyocera launch all-new ranges of TASKalfa SRA3 machines
15 October 2021
In the last few months, many of us have seen our daily work lives changed. Home working has created new printing needs for users.
Security, technological innovation, user-friendliness and durability are the key words for the new SRA3 TASKalfa MFP ranges from KYOCERA. This is not a simple renewal, firmware update and badge change: to quote our own lab report, "this is a rigorous re-engineering of an already successful product. " Kyocera has completely changed the interface - it now scrolls like a tablet does - and many aspects of the machine's design have been completely reviewed. From the lack of visible wiring to the way the paper trays close, Kyocera has delivered high quality products in terms of design and manufacturing.
The entire TASKalfa range has been replaced, both the color and monochrome machines. The 25-page-per-minute TASKalfa 2554ci replaces the TASKalfa 2553ci; the monochrome TASKalfa 4004i replaces the 4003i, and Kyocera's monochrome line goes to 90 ppm. The only speed changes we note at this level of detail are that worldwide, Kyocera now offers the mid-range 35 ppm 3554ci model instead of the 32 ppm 3253ci that was sold in Europe, and the fastest color machine is now the 70 ppm TASKalfa 7054ci.
There are differences between the ranges, and a range of document feeders at each level - offering up to 274 ipm for duplex originals. Hardware has been significantly upgraded, with a 1TB hard drive now available. Two new, larger capacity finishing units are available.
Featuring artificial intelligence like all Kyocera devices, this new lineup allows users to enjoy increased productivity.
The DataMaster Lab test series revealed substantial improvements in print quality, first page out time, finisher productivity, scanner productivity and output file size.
The previous line was good machines and received 4.5/5 stars from DataMaster. The new machines received the full five stars, which is rare.
The certificate is available below. See the full specifications for the entire line, and download our test lab reviews from Your DataMaster Online, available by subscription from Printer-Benchmark.com!
