New Ricoh A3 MFPs: full of new features

22 January 2019

Ricoh is launching its first line of smart MFPs running "Always Current Technology", promising machines which are always up-to-date with the latest developments.  The Ricoh IM C Intelligent A3 Multifunction Series is the brand's first launch including this platfoirm - to be followed by other MFPs supporting its "Always Current Technology" platform. This feature guarantees users the constant availability of the latest updates of products, software and applications that can be downloaded directly to the machines and installed in the process, with, if necessary, the help of a remote support service ( "Ricoh Intelligence Support"). 13 models of this new range are concerned by these new features.
From a functionality and performance point of view, these IM C series A3 Color MFPs offer speeds ranging from 20 to 60 ppm.  The touch-screen interface has been improved and redesigned taking into account customer feedback: customization, simple maintenance and installation update will now be possible.  Control from a smartphone via a dedicated app, as well as access to an innovative cloud service, Ricoh Smart Integration are also available. Finally, data security is not forgotten: the machines are equipped with an internal encryption system.
"The strong message of this new range is that they are in line with our customers' new ways of working.  Our new range of smart multifunctions can adapt to these new emerging needs." says Alison Bigorie, Product Marketing Manager at Ricoh France. "Ricoh is really fighting against planned obsolescence: feature updates are available every six months, which means that in four years, the features of these MFPs will have evolved with technological progress to provide the best quality in an eco-friendly approach in line with the market.  We called this "Dynamic Workplace Intelligence" to represent the way we work with our customers and to meet all their ever-changing needs."
