Ricoh launch the Pro C5110S and Pro C5100S
17 958 2013
On April 29, we announced the launch of the latest departmental copiers from Ricoh in Japan, namely the MP C6502SP and MP C8002SP. Ricoh has now unveiled the Production versions of these machines in Japan, Europe and North America.
Named the Ricoh Pro C5110S (for the 80 ppm version) and the Pro C5100S (for the 65 ppm version), they have a vertical interface which users will find comfortable to use, and they can integrate with Ricoh TotalFlow.
Ricoh are launching a new formula of polymerised toner which extends the colorimetric range of the Pro C5110S and the C5100S. The fuser temperature has been lowered too, and this reduces the environmental impact of these machines as well as the warm-up times.
Ricoh are highlighting the integration of an alternating-current technology for toner transfer, the first time this has appeared in a Ricoh production printing device. According to the manufacturer, this means high-quality results can be obtained on highly textured media. Lastly, these new machines also have a media library function which lets users fine tune temperature and pressure settings for different types of paper right from the control panel.
These products have a good size/speed ratio, which should make digital press service providers, marketing companies and printshop managers take a close look at them.
