DataMaster Lab gives the Xerox AltaLink C8000 series 5 stars

27 July 2017

The Xerox Altalink C8035 and C8045 A3 color multifunction printers have been through all the DataMaster Lab tests and evaluations.  We are pleased to announce that they have obtained the excellent rating of 5/5 stars.

This range is aimed at workgroups, and provides Xerox's interface and ConnectKey functions.  Using the same controller on the whole family ensures a coherent user experience that will facilitate the implementation of these machines into the workflows in a large organization.  They support the exact same internal software solutions and provide all the Cloud connectors and apps made Xerox.

The usability of these machines was particularly appreciated; they are productive and reliable - and very quiet. The interface has been completely revised since the old generation, and is exceptionally user-friendly and efficient. The new scan to e-mail interface is excellent, and with copy and imposition finctions there are significantly fewer keystrokes required. Optical character recognition is standard for the entire family.

Print quality is very good; good resolution translates into well rendered fine print.

This range of machines does not lose speed in automatic color mode nor in duplex mode, and the RIP times are short. The controller is armed with 8 GB of RAM as standard and an Intel QuadCore processor running at 1.9 MHz.  These are very strong technical specifications even compared to competing machines in the light production space - and are among the very best in the Office market.

The web page will be appreciated by all administrators and IT support staff responsible for operating these machines.  Modern, user-friendly and highly functional, it makes it easy to clone parameters between machines and allows the interface to be viewed remotely.

In terms of flexibility of finishing and media management, the AltaLinks can be fitted with the full range of Xerox finishers, and all print onto 300 gsm stocks and onto 220 gsm in duplex mode.

DataMaster's analyses and assessments are completely independent.  Five-star certificates are extremely rare.  To attain five stars, not only must the equipment under test demonstrate an excellent performance in most categories, but must have no major weakness in any of the evaluation criteria.

Machines' evaluation certificates and the corresponding rosette badges (as well as those for other machines in the range with the same print engine, plus any rebadged machines sold by other brands) can all be downloaded for FREE.
Their radar charts, and the detailed results of the productivity tests are available on our benchmarking platform DMO which is available to you by subscription.
