Ricoh launch the monochrome production Pro8200 range in Europe

Ricoh is renewing its range of monochrome production printers with the release of five new products. In the USA, the Ricoh Pro 8210 and Pro 8220 printers and the Ricoh Pro 8200s, Pro 8210s and Pro 8220s MFPs are already on the market.
They replace the Pro 8110E, Pro 8120E and MFP Pro 8100s, Pro 8110s and Pro 8120s released in 2013. The new machines' release for the European market is scheduled for Spring 2017.
The look of the machines remains the same. Ricoh has made a slight change in color with a darker shade of gray. They are still equipped with a 10.4-inch vertical control panel, and print at speeds ranging from 111 ppm to 135 ppm. But this new range is more compact and lightweight than the previous one.
The machines of the new range are more flexible, with better media management, the by-pass now handling stocks between 52 and 256 gsm. The machines have the same 1.86 GHz Intel Celeron P4505 processor, but have a larger capacity hard drive (640 GB as standard). They also feature a new optional EFI Fiery EB-34 controller.
On the finishing side, this range is equipped with large finishing modules offering stapling, multiple perforation, folding (two-, three- or "engineer" fold), trimming or brochures.
On the connectivity and compatibility side, these machines have Wi-Fi and (optional) Bluetooth and are compatible with Mac OS, Windows, Linux, Unix, Citrix, IBM and Novell systems and platforms. Printing and mobile scanning (for the MFPs) is also possible from the Ricoh Smart Device Print & Scan application.
Finally, the smaller environmental footprint of this new range over the previous generation is also worth highlighting.
