Kyocera Document Solutions Germany receives the 2014 "Blue Angel" sustainability award

15 December 2014

Created in 2008, the annual German sustainable development awards go to cities, companies or individuals that contribute to the promotion of a sustainable society.

Among the six categories represented in these awards, the 'Blue Angel' sustainability prize was awarded by the President of the German Federal Environment Agency to Kyocera Document Solutions Deutschland GmbH.

In the press release announcing the award, the organizers recalled the fact that Kyocera produced the first Blue-Angel certified printer in 1997; and that in order to receive this label printers and multifunction devices must comply with more than 100 criteria, including the use of environmentally friendly materials, low power consumption and being designed to facilitate recycling or reduced emissions of fine and ultrafine particles.
