New Kyocera/CopyStar/Triumph Adler A3 multifunctions get FIVE stars from DataMaster Labs

DataMaster is renowned for very, very rarely according the full FIVE-star Evaluation Certificates to the MFPs and digital presses that undergo the DataMaster suite of tests - but we are very pleased to announce that the full FIVE stars have been awarded to the Kyocera TASKalfa 2554ci / 3554ci color MFP engine.

Kyocera France kindly provided the test machine, a Kyocera TASKalfa 2554ci. The certificates, lab reports and radar charts all apply to the Triumph-Adler Color 2508ci and Color 3508ci, and the CopyStar CS 2554ci and CS 3554ci.

Tests of productivity in copy, scan and print modes were run on the machines made available to us by the manufacturer, and the machines' and their drivers' usability, flexibility and breadth of functions were assessed. The new Kyocera SRA3 color print motor delivered great test lab productivity results across the board:

first page out times;
work group multi-usage, simultaneous operation and setup;
duplex print speeds (103%!);
and scan speeds.

They achieve excellent print quality in every respect: high resolution, clean solids, good contrast in photos, and are currently best in class for small texts.

The structured scrolling interface allows easy utilization of extremely rich feature set. The clever usage of colors on the screen enhances the user experience - and makes more complex finctions easy to set up.

From the long-life drum, cable-less exterior to the soft-close drawers, this machine oozes high-quality of manufacture and reliability.

The brands will shortly be releasing 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 ppm versions of the new motor, with similar strengths and advantages.

The 5-Star Evaluation Certificate and the accompanying Rosette are available for free download from Printer-Benchmark.com, DataMaster’s international website. Radar charts, the full productivity test results and other comparison tools are available on the benchmarking portal, DataMaster Online.

DataMaster’s analyses and evaluations are wholly independent. The five-star rating means not only that the machines performed extremely well in most test categories, but also that they did not underperform in any test category.
