Epson launches three new fast SRA3 inkjet copiers

13 March 2020

Just less than three years ago, Epson launched their first WorkForce Enterprise SRA3 multifunction printers, the first Epson machines which compete head on with high-end toner MFPs.

Epson are now launching their replacements, the 100 ppm WF-C21000 (replacing the WF-C20590) and the 75 ppm WF-20750 (replacing the WF-C17590). In addition, this new generation includes a 60 ppm machine, the WF-C20600.

Unlike most inkjet machines, the Epson WorkForce Enterprise MFPs are less prone to losses of speed due to ink coverage and image complexity, and they can run at least as fast printing double-sided as they do single-sided.

Epson’s PrecisionCore inkjet technology prints cold. Other inket machines heat the ink or the print or both. This gives the Epsons two advantages – with nothing to warm up, start-up and first page out times are low - and extremely low electrical consumption. As with all inkjets, there are no nano-particle nor styrene emissions.

The new machines come with new finishing options. There is an external stapling unit, and a booklet finisher – and both can have a hole-punch. There is a 150-sheet capacity single-pass feeder which can scan duplex originals at 110 ipm.

The first generation WorkForce Enterprise machines passed the DataMaster Lab tests with flying colors. They are highly productive, and very easy to use. They won last year’s Green Award in the DataMaster Lab Print Awards, and prizes for usability too. We look forward to testing the new ones as soon as they are available, travel restrictions notwithstanding!
